Walking man's best friend

Hi guys,
so today I'm here to tell you about why dogs and walking places are cool.
So picture the scene, a dismal day, so dark that the street lights are on, although it's only 5pm. And then there's me, sat there in a lousy mood, not quite sure why, but miserable none-the-less.
So, as my dog is giddy and rushing about, my mum's friend advises me to take her for a walk.
I set off with my dog, Roxy in tow, and went for a walk.
And here's the relevant bit now.
For you, my friend, I would recommend walks. The walk really lifted my spirits, specially seeing Roxy run around gleefully and the freedom in her eyes, although she was still on a lead and still came running when I called (three or four times, but hey, cut her some slack ;) )
It also benefits your health.
And I'd recommend a dog for those less motivated, as they need looking after and walking and promote responsiblity.
And with a dog, you're not lonely. The good thing about walking is that you could be alone with your thoughts, or think about nothing and just enjoy the experience, but with a pet with you, you know some one with unending love for you is just beside you, and there's a companionable silence. Well, not exactly silence as there was birds singing, (light pollution for ya :( ) and a train went past etc.
Dogs also forced those more socially challenged to interact with others, and make it easier to.
Next to know one doesn't melt at a cute puppy bounding up to you, so long as it's on a lead ;) and the conversation doesn't have to be about anything that may make the person feel awkward, just about the ikkle puppy :3
That's actually given me a really good idea, we should make a charity that re-homes abused animals with people that suffer anxiety disorders to help both pet and person heal. The responsibility of walking the pet forced the person out of their home, even if it's just to walk around the garden several times, which can be a big feat for some of these people. And because alliteration is cool, we shall name it Animal Abuse And Anxiety Association (haha)
I may have fallen in love with that idea, let's see if anything comes of it ;)
Luvs ya guys,
Amy xxx
now, go buy a puppy :P
